I've known of Prince of Tennis existence, but never watched/read it so I thought it would be some regular sports anime with tons of flashbacks.
But somehow they can create ... black holes that just hover there...

Yes, the original Prince of Tennis is great, a regular sport without all the silly superpowers. However, this sequel is more superficial.

ngl at one point i lost track of new prince of tennis u-17 world cup manga coz chapters were being updated in a crazy manner with no proper order so i feel good that i can watch it properly now

To those who are not familiar with this, Prince of Tennis already has that kind of "super" element in it while being focused on serious Tennis .
I am not surprised anymore and I love it in its own way. It is still one of the legends in sports anime.
My real concern about this is that...they skipped lots of chapters...I wasn't expecting to see the "Prince vs. Prince" match so early in EP 4.

it always had a super element but it was in a way that was an exagerated version of something humanly possible, but cmon a black hole.. lol

to be fair I get that this show has always been absurd but at least some of their skills were explained. Like Fuji putting enough spin for his counters, or Tezuka with his phantom/zone. Blackhole was just absurd like how is he doing that exactly?

This is getting better and better everytime I watch it!!! First season was epic, the new prince of tennis was amazing, but this is DIVINE level!!! Tokugawa still remained a chad through and through and same for Yukimura! :)
